This a friendly reminder - SOL testing begins next week!

Parents, please help us prepare the students for success with the following:

·        Get a good night’s sleep.  Research shows that children are more attentive-at least 10 hours of sleep.

  • Eat a nutritious breakfast. Children who are hungry have a hard time concentrating.
  • Be on time for school.  If the child is late, they most likely will miss the test and have to make it up

later, possibly missing valuable instruction or review.

  • Have a positive attitude.  Approach the test with a “You can do it” attitude.
  • Relax!  Remind your child if they get nervous, pause for a few seconds and take deep breaths.
  • Recap with your child in the morning to PACE.  “There is no time limit so they should take their time.”
