PTA Meeting

Just a reminder that our next PTA General Membership meeting is Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the school library!  Please join us and help us plan the 6th and 7th grade dances, possible spring fundraiser(s), and if you are interested in being a part of the NEW PTA board next year! 

Parent Conference Night

THANK YOU to all FMS families that came together and created an outstanding taco/nacho buffet for the FMS staff.  All the goodies and food just popped with flavor.  Thank you again so much the efforts and offers you gave!

PTA Spirit Wear

If you are waiting on a Spirit Wear order to be filled, good news!  The orders are arriving Feb. 8 and will be handed out right away to homeroom teachers.  Thank you so much for your patience!   The PTA will no longer be filling orders for hoodies, zipper hoodies, or long sleeve tee shirts, but we have quite a few tee shirts on hand that you can purchase anytime.  And they will be filled within the week!  Your PTA thanks you for your support and school spirit!

Students who are interested in JROTC or Metal Trades should see Mrs. Flamm for an application.  Applications should be returned to Mrs. Flamm in the Counseling Office by Friday, February 10th.

Volleyball pictures will be Wednesday, February 8^th at 3PM.  Picture forms will come home today, January 30^th.  Players that wish to purchase pictures must have a completed picture form and payment with them at the time of pictures.

SCA and NJHS will be selling Love Elephants beginning Wednesday, February 1st through Tuesday, February 14th or while supplies last.  Love Elephants will be sold for $3 during homeroom only. 

February 13th and 14th only - Exclusive Offer - Love Beads will be sold!  Two for $1!  Homeroom only!  Be sure to show your friends and teachers how much you care!

The All District Band Concert is on Saturday, February 11th at North Stafford High School at 3PM and is free and open to the public.  Come out and support FMS!

Summer Enrichment Program

The University of Virginia Curry School of Education will be offering a Summer Enrichment Program which will focus on meeting both the cognitive and affective needs of gifted and/or high ability learners while fostering a passion for lifelong learning and leadership.  This program will serve students currently enrolled in 4th-10th grade.  If interested, stop by the counseling office to learn more about the program and to pick up a flyer with online application directions.  The online application deadline is February 15, 2012. 

CGS Applications

Those 8th graders interested in applying for the Commonwealth Governor's School need to see Ms. Fulwider in room 217 for an application.  It is MANDATORY that you see her in order to apply.  Applications are due February 14th to Ms. Fulwider.
