LICENSURE TIP OF THE MONTH

 

Remember that those without a master's degree must take three credits of college coursework that is content-focused in order to renew their licenses every five years.  It is not wise to wait until the last minute to complete the needed coursework.

If you are a teacher who meets one of the qualifications below, you may qualify for Federal Perkins Loan cancellation!
1.       Teaching in a school serving students from low-income families
2.       Teaching special education students to include infants, toddlers, children or youth with disabilities
3.       Teaching mathematics, science, foreign languages, or bilingual education, or in any other field of expertise determined by a state agency to have a shortage of qualified teachers in that state
