Division-Wide Professional Development Requirement

All full-time and part-time licensed instructional staff are required to participate. This includes:

• Teachers
• Special Educators
• Counselors
• Therapists
• Librarians
• Psychologists
• Social Workers

Homebound instructors, administrators, and activities directors are invited to participate however are not required to attend division-wide professional development options.

The requirement entails completing a minimum of one of the following options between June 14, 2009 and April 2, 2010:

• In-House Course Option
  • Courses used to meet this requirement are designated in an "event" on MyLearningPlan entitled DWPD 2009-2010
  • These courses are 20-hours in length. Combining hours from multiple courses does not fulfill the requirement.
• Academy/Institute Option
• College Course Option
• Study Group Option
• North TIER Option
• STAR: Spotsylvania Teachers Achieving Results
  • Induction course for all licensed-instructional staff new to Spotsylvania in 2009-2010.

 
Registration for all options must be completed on MyLearningPlan.
